Job Title: City Laborer

Division: Operations Division

The New York County District Attorney's Office (DA-NY) is seeking an immediate hire for a City Laborer. The role is essential for maintaining business operations within the office. Under close supervision, the laborer will perform unskilled labor requiring physical strength.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Moving, lifting, and carrying objects of various sizes and weights using hand or power-driven equipment.
2. Loading and unloading objects from trucks, vans, or loading docks.
3. Performing general maintenance, inspections, and equipment upkeep.
4. Engaging in clean-up activities, debris removal, and disposal.
5. Operating vehicles to deliver equipment and materials within the area.
6. Assisting skilled craftsmen with projects as needed.
7. Participating in sewage disposal operations when assigned.
8. Performing other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Prior laborer and maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must possess a valid Motor Vehicle Driver License in New York.

Additional Information:

• Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with possible rotating shifts, evenings, early mornings, and weekends.
