Job summary

City of Midland, Texas seeks a City Engineer to provide executive-level engineering leadership, technical oversight, and strategic coordination for municipal infrastructure and development.

The role acts as the Engineer of Record, leads the Capital Improvement Program, and collaborates with multiple departments to ensure compliant, high-quality public works and growth initiatives for Midland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas.
• Ten years of progressive engineering experience with municipal leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level engineering leadership and oversight for municipal projects.
• Review and seal engineering documents and plans as required by law.
• Coordinate across departments to align infrastructure with city objectives.
• Lead development of long-range infrastructure plans and CIP oversight.
• Represent the City in regulatory matters and with external agencies.
