The City of Abilene is seeking a City Engineer to lead municipal engineering operations, oversee infrastructure projects, and guide a high-performing team. Reporting to the Director of Public Works, the role emphasizes strategic planning and public engagement.
You will plan, organize, direct and coordinate engineering activities citywide, oversee design and permitting, develop capital improvement plans, manage budgets and timelines, and serve as a liaison to leadership, boards, and residents.
