Job summary

Responsibilities

• Serve as contact person for city delivery service.
• Receive orders from stores and ensure parts are pulled for delivery by scheduled time.
• Ensure accuracy of orders before pickup for delivery.
• Maintain organized city delivery area with sections for each spoke store.
• Monitor routes and communicate delays to stores on route.
• Suggest efficiency improvements to reduce expenses.
• Ensure clock-in/out compliance for hub staff.
• Research missing deliveries and adjust billing as needed.
• Support store manager in covering routes when needed.
• Ensure vehicles are well maintained and inspected; log mileage.
• Provide input on delivery staff performance for evaluations.

Compensation Pay Range

$15.00 - $20.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

To coordinate and oversee city route schedule, functions, and delivery specialists from the hub store to spoke stores.

Essential Job Functions

• Serve as contact person for city delivery service.
• Receive orders from stores via phone or invoice, ensure parts are pulled and ready for delivery by scheduled time.
• Ensure accuracy of each order pulled prior to city delivery specialist picking up the order for delivery.
• Maintain an organized, clean city delivery area divided into areas/bins for each spoke store.
• Ensure hub delivery specialists are running on schedule and communicate any delays to stores remaining on route.
• Continuously monitor hub system and routes for ways to increase efficiency, productivity, and/or reduce expenses. Communicate recommendations to the store manager.
• Ensure all team members assigned to hub clock in and out according to company policy.
• Research any parts not delivered as scheduled and make necessary billing adjustments.
• Work with the store manager to ensure the route is covered in the absence of the regular city delivery specialist.
• Work with the store manager and delivery specialist to ensure vehicles are well maintained and inspections are completed thoroughly and accurately. Log daily mileage into asset management for all vehicles.
• Provide input to the store manager regarding delivery specialists’ performance in preparation for performance evaluations.
