Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
• Five years' increasingly responsible experience in journalism, communications, and public relations; public sector experience preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and direct the City's communications, public information, marketing and branding programs.
• Develop and distribute accurate, timely public information about City services.
• Coordinate responses to public information requests and media inquiries.
• Manage internal and external communications and city publications.
• Serve as City Spokesperson; Emergency Public Information Coordinator during emergencies.
