Qualifications

• Two years of increasingly responsible journey-level carpentry experience.
• Equivalent to graduation from high school; additional carpentry-related training preferred.
• Possession of valid driver’s license at application and ongoing; OSHA-10 within five years of hire; certification maintained while employed.

Responsibilities

• Construct forms and build structures per plans.
• Read and interpret blueprints; estimate material and time needs.
• Repair drywall, plaster, ceilings, doors, tiles, and playground equipment.
• Investigate roof leaks; perform waterproofing and cleaning of debris.
• Construct and repair window frames; install and repair ceilings and paneling.
• Install signs, fences, and various city structures; maintain park facilities and fields.
• Renovate facilities to meet ADA standards; remodel offices and specialized fixtures.
