Valley Transit in Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated bus driver to support daily operations, ensuring safe transport of riders between designated stops with mobility assistance as needed.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, monitor routes, and maintain logs of ridership and fares while communicating via radio for safe and timely arrivals. Flexibility with shifts and overtime is common in this role.

Qualifications

• Possess and maintain a valid Wisconsin Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the P endorsement and a Federal Medical Card.
• Ability to drive a bus safely and on schedule in all weather conditions.
• Ability to understand street maps and directions.
• Ability to comply with the City Drug and Alcohol Policy and pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsabilités

• Drives city buses; boards and discharges passengers including those needing mobility assistance; collects fares and answers directions.
• Performs routine safety inspections prior to operation and at end of shift.
• Maintains effective radio communications during routes for safety and timeliness.
• Records ridership information and logs daily fare accumulation.
• Checks route information, schedules, detours, and weather conditions to ensure on-time service.
• Maintains punctual attendance and may work overtime as scheduled.
• Distributes printed information to passengers and monitors vehicle condition at all times.
