Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Citrix Engineer to join our infrastructure services team in a large healthcare enterprise environment, supporting the backend Citrix infrastructure powering our VDI environment for 8,000+ users. This is a six‑month contract‑to‑hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate brings deep Citrix engineering experience, strong Windows Server administration, and a proven ability to thrive in a collaborative, remote team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Citrix Engineering experience in a large enterprise environment.
• Strong experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS).
• Citrix XenApp.
• Citrix VDI environments.
• Windows Server administration.
• Active Directory.
• VMware.
• Citrix Xen Hypervisor.
• Experience supporting environments with at least 1,000+ users.
• Experience in highly available or redundant enterprise infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Healthcare industry experience.
• Exposure to AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience with CrowdStrike.
• Experience with BigFix or similar endpoint remediation tools.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support a large-scale Citrix environment.
• Manage and optimize Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops infrastructure.
• Support Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and image streaming technologies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot VDI infrastructure in a highly available enterprise environment.
• Support backend Windows Server infrastructure that supports Citrix services.
• Manage and support Active Directory integrations and related services.
• Work with VMware and Xen Hypervisor environments.
• Monitor performance, capacity, stability, and availability across the Citrix ecosystem.
• Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate closely with fellow Citrix Engineers, EPIC Infrastructure teams, SQL DBAs, and other technical teams.
• Contribute to infrastructure modernization initiatives, including exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.

Insight Global is seeking a Citrix Engineer to join an infrastructure services team in a large, highly available healthcare enterprise environment supporting more than 8,000 users. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity supporting the backend Citrix infrastructure that powers our Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment.

The ideal candidate will bring deep Citrix engineering experience, strong Windows Server administration skills, and experience supporting large-scale, redundant enterprise environments.
