Job summary

100Hires, Inc. in Mentor, OH, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate Citizen Swiss-type lathes (L20/L32) with Mitsubishi controls to produce precision parts and maintain open production communication.

You will interpret blueprints, set tool wear and offsets, perform tool changes, and execute bar feeder changeovers, using micrometers, calipers, height gauges and no-go gauges to validate dimensions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience on Swiss-type equipment.
• At least 2 years of CNC machine setup experience.
• High school-level math, reading, and problem-solving (12th grade equivalency).
• Technical college training in machining is highly desirable.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and understanding GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Operate Citizen Swiss machines (L20/L32) independently and efficiently.
• Interpret blueprints to plan and verify machining operations.
• Set tool wear and geometry offsets; establish longitudinal and diameter settings.
• Perform tool changes; apply insert nomenclature knowledge.
• Execute bar feeder changeovers.
• Use inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gage, no-go gauges) to validate dimensions.
• Maintain accurate documentation for production and quality records.
• Route any machine or process malfunctions to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Contribute to best-practice development that improves quality and throughput.

Includes a 10% hourly premium.
