The Nonprofit & Higher Education Mid-Corp Relationship Manager is a strategic banking and sales professional, who is responsible for new business acquisition and the deepening of an existing portfolio of assigned clients within the Nonprofit & Higher Education Mid-Corporate Banking segment at Citi Commercial Bank. The primary role of a Relationship Manager is to retain, grow and acquire relationships by coordinating with professionals across credit, cash management, FX and capital markets. A Relationship Manager will collaborate with product partners across Citi, cultivate new prospects by developing and executing comprehensive strategic plans that ensure a broad penetration of coverage markets, and perform due diligence to comply with AML and KYC standards. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.
