Talon Air is seeking a strong Captain to join a dedicated Citation Sovereign account, supporting a mix of Part 91 owner trips and Part 135 charter flights.

Based with a premier management company, most pilots are home-based and rotate between the owner aircraft, enjoying a competitive compensation package, full benefits, and long-term stability with growth opportunities at Talon Air.

Qualifications

• ATP certification required.
• 3000+ total flight time.
• 1000+ multi-engine time.
• 750+ PIC time (500+ MEL PIC preferred).
• 150 instrument time.

• Valid Passport.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate domestic and international trip assignments under 14 CFR Part 91 and Part 135.
• Maintain high crew coordination and professional conduct at all times.
• Represent Talon Air professionally and provide exceptional owner and passenger service.
• Assist passengers with seating and luggage storage and conduct briefings as needed.
• Adhere to company procedures and maintain required medical certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Talon Air is looking to add a strong Captain to the team for a dedicated Citation Sovereign account. This position supports a well-established owner account flying a mix of Part 91 owner trips and Part 135 charter flying.

We are a Part 135 operator headquartered in Farmingdale, NY operating a fleet of 40+ aircraft including Global 6000/5000, Gulfstream 550/450, GV, G-IVSP, Challenger 604/605, Challenger 3500, Falcon 2000, Hawker 4000, G200, and Citation platforms. We have been operating for over 25 years and have built a stable, long-term platform for both our clients and pilots.

This is a unique opportunity for a pilot looking to work closely with a great owner while still having the support and infrastructure of a premier management company. Most of our pilots are home-based and airline to/from the aircraft for each rotation.

In addition to base compensation, pilots are also compensated for every charter flight hour flown.

Type rating in the Citation Sovereign is preferred; however, we will also consider other highly qualified Captains with similar experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

Safe and efficient flight operations for domestic and international trip assignments operating under 14 CFR Part 91 and Part 135 regulations while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Maintain a high degree of crew coordination, performing duties in a professional, efficient, and cordial manner at all times.

Provide an exceptional experience for the aircraft owner and passengers while representing Talon Air in a professional manner.

Greeting of passengers and assistance with passenger seating and luggage storage.

Conduct passenger briefings and respond to passenger requests and needs.

Adhere to the duties and responsibilities stated in all company procedures manuals.

Maintain a current First Class Medical certificate as required by Talon Air policy

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Must be a team player and work well in a team environment
• Working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135 and Part 91
• Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and international flight operations regulations
