Job summary

Silver Air is seeking an experienced CJ3 First Officer to join our Van Nuys fleet. You will support owner missions, maintain high safety standards, and work closely with leadership on a 24/7 operation.

Opportunity to fly across CJ3 fleet and build flight hours with room for growth and leadership as you advance. You’ll review maintenance, perform pre-flights, and ensure compliance with Silver Air procedures and FARs while delivering excellent service to clients.

Qualifications

• Total time in all aircraft: 1500 hours.
• Multi-engine time: 1000 hours.
• Total Turbine time: 500 hours (preferred).
• Valid First Class Medical Certificate.
• CANPASS authorization required to obtain travel to Canada as a commercial pilot.
• Previous Part 135 experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review maintenance status to ensure airworthiness.
• Conduct pre-flight inspection per Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Check weather and facilities along route and airports, including alternates.
• Ensure flight complies with Silver Air policies and FARs.
• Ensure safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew.
• Complete trip paperwork per Silver Air procedures.

Description

We are searching for an experienced first officer to join our CJ3 Fleet at Silver Air! The CJ3 First Officer will be flying for an owner who is a legacy account with Silver Air that flies a wide range of missions, including charter. The Captain on this account is Silver Air's Chief Pilot, so you'll get direct exposure to a leader who is passionate about hospitality and invested in developing his team, with plenty of room for growth and leadership as you advance. You'll also float across our broader CJ3 fleet, giving you strong opportunities to build flight hours beyond the primary account. What you'll be doing:

• Reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft to ensure airworthiness.
• Conducting proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Completing check of weather and facilities along the route to be flown and airports to be used, including alternate airports.
• Ensuring the flight is conducted in accordance with the policies and procedures of Silver Air and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Ensuring the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew.
• Accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with Silver Air procedures.

To do well in this role, you'll need:

• Total time in all aircraft = 1500 hours.
• Multi-engine time = 1000 hours.
• Total Turbine time = 500 hours preferred.
• Valid First Class Medical Certificate. This is required.
• Previous Part 135 experience. This is preferred, but not required.
• CANPASS authorization. You'll need the ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot.
• Strong customer service skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) will need to be demonstrated with all levels of employees and clients. Communication must always be delivered with a superior level of professionalism.
• High level of detail. You'll need to be highly organized with the ability to thrive in changing environments and the flexibility for frequently changing priorities.
• Excellent time management skills. You'll need to be able to work on an on-call basis, with the ability to work well under pressure and to multi-task. Silver Air is a 24/7 organization, so this role requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and Holidays.
• Strong people skills. You'll need to be a team player who can provide valued contributions to our business and clients.
