Job summary

The University of Michigan-Flint's College of Innovation and Technology is seeking a proactive student assistant to support communications, event coordination, and student tracking. Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in at least 6+ credit hours at UM-Flint.
  • Must have completed at least 2 semesters at UM-Flint.
  • Maintains a UM-Flint cumulative and semester GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Must be a College of Innovation and Technology student.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with student outreach in alignment with the CIT Marketing Plan.
  • Drive engaging social media campaigns.
  • Maintain and update campus outreach calendars (Canvas & Handshake).
  • Take photos and write articles for CIT Career Newsletters and other publications.
  • Support the planning and execution of CIT Career Fairs, workshops, and professional seminars.
  • Track student submissions for the Professional Career Development (PCD) Program.
  • Log points for completed tasks and assist with polls or questionnaires.

Job Summary

The College of Innovation and Technology (CIT) at the University of Michigan-Flint is seeking a proactive, self-motivated student assistant to join our team! In this role, you will work closely with the CIT Career Advisor to support departmental communications, help coordinate exciting campus events, and assist with student tracking.

This position is a fantastic opportunity for a continuous learner who wants to develop professional skills, give back to the CIT community, and gain hands‑on experience in program coordination-all while balancing their academic schedule.

Responsibilities
Communication & Marketing
  • Assist with student outreach in alignment with the CIT Marketing Plan.

Event Coordination

  • Assist with the distribution and collection, opinion polls or questionnaire data related to CIT Career Services.
Team Collaboration
  • Attend scheduled training
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department's success.

Onsite
