Job summary

Communities In Schools – Southeast Harris and Brazoria County is seeking a CIS Site Coordinator to manage day-to-day operations of the program at the school site, collaborating with principals, faculty, students, and families to ensure CIS services reach identified students.

The role involves interviewing students and parents, coordinating services, maintaining records, and reporting outcomes, while engaging volunteers and working with community resources across Brazoria or Southeast Harris

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education, or a related field.
• Experience coordinating school-based programs with diverse stakeholders preferred.
• Ability to work with students and families from low to moderate incomes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates services for identified students during the school day and possibly before and after school.
• Interview students and families to determine problems and plan appropriate supports.
• Secures information and evaluates factors affecting students' needs.
• Counsels students individually or in groups to meet needs and mobilize resources.
• Maintains records and prepares reports meeting deadlines.
• Works with principals and staff to structure programs for campus needs.
• Familiar with Brazoria County or Southeast Harris County resources.
• Facilitates workshops and engages volunteers to support CIS goals.
