Job summary

Cirrus Aircraft in Tennessee invites a Retail Intern to join our team. You’ll deliver outstanding customer service in-store and at events, gain exposure to merchandise knowledge across our store and website, and support with graphic design tasks if pursuing that track.

You will process transactions, assist with online orders, stock and merchandise inventory, and participate in seasonal displays and air-show events.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree and in good academic standing.
• Junior or Senior status with relevant field of study.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong written and verbal communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to customers, employees, and visitors in retail store locations and at company events.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system, including cash, credit card, coupons, refunds, exchanges, and gift certificates.
• Fulfill and process online orders, including domestic and international shipments.
• Assist customers with product selection, merchandise inquiries, and general retail support.
• Receive, stock, organize, and merchandise inventory to maintain an attractive and well-stocked retail environment.
• Implement price changes, markdowns, and promotional displays as needed.
• Support retail operations during air shows, company events, and other off-site activities.
• Assist with inventory management activities, including cycle counts, quarterly inventories, and year-end inventory audits.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reconciliation.
• Prepare daily sales reports and assist with month-end reporting requirements.
• Investigate and resolve cash drawer discrepancies while maintaining accurate transaction records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional retail environment that reflects the Cirrus brand.

Overview

The Retail Intern will provide exceptional customer service by greeting each customer, fostering a friendly atmosphere, having proper knowledge of merchandise both in the physical store and on the website, and offering assistance to customers.Interns with a background or pursuing a degree in graphic design will also be considered and encouraged for this role for assisting in new designs for clothing and products.

Additional Requirements:Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.Must be able to complete entire duration of internship.

Qualifications
