Qualifications

• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate — Airplane Single‑Engine Land.
• Instrument Rating — Airplane.
• CFI and CFII certificates.
• Current FAA Second‑Class Medical.
• 1,000 hours total time.
• 75 hours instrument (actual or simulated).
• 50 hours in Cirrus SR20/SR22.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary flight instruction toward the owner's Private Pilot Certificate, including ground instruction and checkride prep.
• Deliver a Cirrus transition program covering aircraft systems, avionics, and emergency procedures.
• Begin Instrument Rating instruction after Private Pilot Certificate.
• Act as PIC for owner-directed travel, including day trips and multi-day itineraries.
• Structure travel flights as instructional flights to accrue dual and cross-country time.
• Maintain training records, endorsements, and syllabus progress.
