Job summary

Johnson C. Smith University Library is seeking a Circulation Services Evening Supervisor to oversee circulation operations, supervise student workers, enforce library policies, and maintain facility security.

You will assist patrons and manage circulation and service statistics, ensuring smooth daily operations. The role also supports acquisitions and processing of library materials, outreach and promotional activities, online chat services, and routine library operations such as closing

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Candidate must have strong customer service, communication, technology, and supervisory skills.
• Experience with library services and working with students is preferred.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required with at least 2 years of experience directly related to the primary duties of the position.
• Candidate must have knowledge and understanding in providing library services or customer services in a diverse environment.
• Candidate must have good technology skills, writing skills, and communication skills.
• Prefer a candidate who has worked with college students, is familiar with library services and procedures, and has web design experience.
• Managerial experience is required.
• Will consider candidates with a combination of work experience and education.
