Job summary

University of New Mexico is seeking a Circulation Assistant for the Law Library (Main - Albuquerque, NM). This student employment position supports public service by assisting library patrons with circulation in person and by phone and requires evening and weekend shifts.

You will handle borrowing, renewals, and fines in WorldShare, help with photocopying and printing, and guide patrons to reference staff when needed.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills are required.
• Library experience is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, hardworking and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons with circulation in person and by phone.
• Operate the circulation module of WorldShare Management.
• Assist patrons with photocopying, printing, and patron accounts.
• Sort, shelve and shelf-read library materials by location and call numbers.
• Schedule study rooms and assist with parking permits and deliveries.
• Perform opening and closing procedures per procedures manual.
• Support staff in other library departments as needed.
