Job summary

MLK Community Hospital is seeking a Circulating Staff Nurse in Los Angeles, focusing on perioperative patient care. The RN will organize, plan, coordinate, and deliver compassionate care guided by the Watson Model of Care.

Education includes a BSN preferred; 1 year of Surgical Services nursing or 2 years as a surgical tech with nursing background is required. CNOR preferred; bilingual Spanish skills are valued. EMR, BLS, ACLS competencies needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Sciences degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in Surgical Services or two years as surgical tech in acute care with at least one year of nursing experience.
• CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, individualized patient/family-centered care.
• Perform nursing process and SBAR hand-off communications.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary discharge planning and care transitions.
• Maintain patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Document care using IPOC and Watson Model of Care.
