Job summary

Talented-Medical-Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The role focuses on perioperative care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases, maintaining sterile field, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

The position requires ARIN licensure and BLS certification, plus OR nursing experience. The nurse will lead time-outs, ensure accurate counts, document procedures, and coordinate handoffs to PACU.

Qualifications

• Perioperative nursing experience and competencies.
• Ability to maintain sterile field and aseptic technique.
• Strong documentation and patient advocacy during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative assessment, verify consent and confirm patient identity and surgical site.
• Participate in surgical time-out and site verification for every case.
• Function as circulating nurse, maintaining the sterile field and monitoring aseptic technique.
• Perform and document accurate instrument, sponge and sharps counts with the scrub team.
• Handle, label and process surgical specimens according to policy.
• Document intra-operative care and provide handoff to the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
