Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking an experienced RN to serve as an OR Circulating Nurse at New London Hospital. You will collaborate with a surgical team to uphold sterility, document intraoperative events, and prepare cases in a two-OR setting.

Responsibilities include nursing process application, patient safety advocacy, and education for patients and families. Requires NH RN licensure, ACLS, BLS, CNOR, and Peri-Op 101 training within one year.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in NH or eligibility.
• ACLS, BLS, CNOR certifications required.
• Peri-Op 101 program within one year of hire.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and revise patient care.
• Provide individualized care within established standards and procedures.
• Document care per hospital standards and participate in interdisciplinary planning.
• Maintain a safe patient environment and support surgical team in the OR.
• Adhere to AORN guidelines for asepsis, attire, and attire of visitors.
