Job summary

GCI Communications Corp. is seeking a Circuit Engineer II to lead circuit design for major projects and collaborate with order management and network design teams.

You will apply broad electronics knowledge to develop, analyze, and document circuit layouts ensuring timely procurement and delivery. Responsibilities include coordinating orders, validating data, and submitting ESRs/POs while maintaining data integrity across circuit databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in telecommunications, circuit service delivery, providing facility assignments, and/or designing circuits or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple orders; simple to complex, facilitating a smooth order process.
• Review orders for validity and ensure equipment and facilities are available to meet circuit requirements.
• Provide access service request (ASR) requirements from DS1’s to Ethernet orders to circuit coordinators.
• Submit engineering service requests (ESRs) for network equipment or facilities and track ESR’s until the equipment is installed and ready for consumption.
• Submit purchase orders (POs) for equipment required for circuit designs.
• Design circuits and provide complete, accurate circuit layout records (CLRs).
• Perform analysis and testing using specific equipment.
