Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a qualified test technician to support circuit breaker testing and repair procedures in the lab. The role involves functional tests, data recording, calibration, and collaboration with engineers and production staff to ensure products meet customer specifications.

Requires an Associates degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent and at least 1 year of related QA testing experience. On-site work with potential for overtime and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience in quality control testing or electrical panel wiring.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as test standards, inspection and test procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Test functional performance of circuit breakers including electrical/mechanical functions and inspections.
• Perform mechanical adjustment operations on circuit breaker components and mechanisms.
• Record test data and print test results for review.
• Conduct electrical trouble-shooting and minor repairs on wiring and components.
• Calibrate test instruments according to specifications.
• Document work by filling out proper forms.
