Circle of Friends Care Provider at Dundee Township Park District supports elementary-aged children with engaging activities that foster personal growth, physical wellness, and social development. This part-time role offers meaningful work in a fun, energetic setting.

You will supervise, lead activities, build relationships with children and families, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment while following health and safety protocols. Schedule is weekdays 2pm–5:30pm when school is in session.

Qualifications

• Experience working with or leading children/youth activities.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to handle situations with professionalism, patience, and empathy.
• Basic first aid knowledge (training provided if not certified).
• Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and engage with children during program hours, ensuring a safe and respectful environment
• Facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote physical activity, wellness, and personal growth
• Build positive, stable relationships with children and communicate regularly with their families
• Maintain a welcoming and clean environment by setting up and cleaning up activity spaces
• Address behavior in a supportive and constructive manner
• Follow safety and health protocols, including first aid procedures and incident reporting
• Ensure accurate sign-in/sign-out procedures and maintain program documentation
• Communicate program needs, concerns, or incidents to the Site Coordinator
• Collaborate with Park District and School District staff as needed
• Serve as a positive representative of the Dundee Township Park District
