Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a Liner Design Technician to translate customer requirements into detailed liner construction specifications and bridge engineering concepts with production execution. The role focuses on turning specifications into accurate designs and production-ready documents.

You will develop construction sheets in Excel, manage BOMs in NetSuite for dry and wet liners, and ensure design docs are accurate, versioned, and audit-ready.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with formulas
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to interpret technical information, specifications, and customer requirements
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across departments
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite
• Exposure to CAD, technical drawings, or documentation

Responsibilities

• Translate POs, specs, and project requirements into liner construction assemblies
• Interpret inputs including pipe dimensions, pressures, materials, and installation methods
• Create liner construction sheets using Excel templates
• Validate inputs, calculations, and material selections prior to release
• Maintain design documentation with version control
• Create and maintain BOMs in NetSuite for dry and wet liners
• Ensure alignment between design specs and ERP records
• Distribute sheets to downstream production teams and collaborate across departments
• Assist with updates to design templates and documentation practices
