Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Georgia seeks a Maintenance & Equipment professional to maintain sanitary equipment and supervise CIP/COP systems in a food production setting.

You will perform preventative maintenance on valves and pumps, read blueprints, coordinate with the Parts department, and support HACCP documentation while adapting to varying shifts and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of sanitation practices and principles, including manual and automated cleaning.
• Willing to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Must have a demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Must have the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must have the ability to climb ladders to access equipment.
• Willing to learn the manufacturing process such as process flows, dairy sciences, regulatory requirements, equipment, and control operation.
• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, etc.
• Ability to work flexible days and hours.
• Must have basic mechanical ability.
• Basic computer, reading, and math skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems in the work area with little supervision.
• Ability to operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissorlifts, etc.

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
