The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking an Engineering Division Manager for Public Works with a focus on capital improvements to water and wastewater infrastructure. Lead design and construction management of complex programs and drive strategic delivery across City projects.

Ideal candidate has civil engineering expertise, strong management skills, and a track record in regulatory compliance, asset management and long-range planning. Public outreach and cross‑department collaboration are essential.

Qualificações

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in civil engineering; master's degree desirable.
• Calibrated experience in civil engineering, capital projects and management.
• California PE certification required; PMP/CCM certifications desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership to direct engineering and project management activities to advance capital projects.
• Demonstrate superior interpersonal and communications skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Drive continuous improvement through innovation and optimization of processes and procedures.
• Build and lead multidisciplinary teams; results oriented with strong PM skills.
• Collaborate with all City departments and stakeholders.
• Oversee public outreach and engagement as part of project delivery.
• Develop, implement and monitor long‑term plans, budgets, goals and objectives.
• Direct preparation of studies, reports, and analyses for capital needs.
• Manage plans, specs, designs, estimates and schedules; coordinate inspections.
• Present to Planning Commission and City Council, and engage the public.
