Job summary

First Community Bancshares, Inc. is seeking an Operations Specialist to support the department in achieving productivity and accuracy. You will work closely with the Department Manager on consumer CIP exceptions, account openings, and due diligence reviews for various account types.

The role requires detail orientation, analytical skills, and teamwork to meet deadlines and maintain quality. Banking experience is preferred, and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Banking experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Detail oriented, analytical, and organized.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must pass background check per company policy.
• Team player and able to get along with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Department Manager to achieve department productivity and goals.
• Accurate and efficient processing of consumer CIP exceptions.
• Thorough due diligence reviews for Sole Proprietorship accounts.
• Accurate account opening and due diligence review for business accounts.
• Accurate processing of application exceptions for accounts opened online.
• Review consumer CIP information and sanctions holds for reloadable prepaid cards.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Operations Specialist: may train & mentor new department employees.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a sitting stationary position for extended periods of time
