Job summary

State of Illinois seeks a Chief Information Officer to lead IT services supporting the Illinois Department of Corrections. The CIO will develop technology vision and strategy, align IT solutions with departmental goals, and supervise a team of IT professionals.

The role requires deep expertise in software development, project management, strategic planning, and enterprise IT governance to deliver secure, scalable systems for complex state operations.

Qualifications

• Four years of college coursework in management information systems, information technology, or related field.
• Four years of progressively responsible management experience in a large IT organization.
• Four years of professional experience in policymaking, strategic planning, and IT solutioning for large-scale systems.
• Three years of experience supervising IT professionals in a large and complex IT organization.
• Five years leading and managing large-scale IT operations.
• Five years developing, implementing, and interpreting IT policies and standards aligned with enterprise governance.
