Job description

An independent production team is seeking a talented 1st AC to join our upcoming pilot project. This dramedy, with touches of magical realism, explores themes of connection and finding your voice in a bustling city. We are looking for someone with a keen eye for focus and camera maintenance to help bring our visual story to life. Your primary responsibilities will include pulling sharp focus, managing camera equipment (setting up, tearing down, cleaning, organizing), and assisting the DP with lens changes and camera support. We require candidates to own their own follow focus unit, slate, and a basic tool kit. Previous experience working on narrative shorts or pilots is essential, and a strong reel demonstrating your focus pulling skills is a must. Shoot dates are approximately late October or early November 2026, over a 3-day period (10-12 hour days). Prep will involve a few meetings and gear checks. We will provide camera package, lenses, and all necessary production support. This is a paid position, offering $2000-3000 per week, depending on experience. Come help us create something special.

Budget Range
