Job summary

New Jersey Institute of Technology seeks an Assistant Director for CIM Student Recruitment & Retention on a fixed-term basis for Fiscal Year 2027. Reporting to the SAET Director, the role promotes the CIM program to prospective students and supports retention efforts with Admissions and SBED teams.

The position oversees broad travel, high school/community college outreach, and industry engagement, coordinating CIM campaigns with Marketing and Admissions to raise program visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse constituencies, prospective students, parents, and industry partners.
• Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, exercise discretion, manage projects, and work independently.
• Exceptional public speaking skills and ability to present the University positively to individual students and large audiences.
• Experience working with higher education admissions platforms, specifically Slate and Banner.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with NJIT University Admissions and utilize admissions systems/software to learn, implement, and track best practices in student recruitment.
• Work with SAET leadership to develop, execute, and monitor a recruitment strategy and territory plan to increase CIM enrollment.
• Handle extensive high school visits, college fairs, transfer days, and broad outreach events organized by NJIT Admissions.
• Build relationships with industry recruitment professionals from Patron companies and deliver CIM program presentations.
• Execute promotional marketing campaigns and brand alignment for the CIM program, utilizing social media and marketing tools.
• Represent the CIM program at external industry events and national conferences, coordinating with SBED Advisor and Program Coordinator.
• Align recruitment with academic retention strategies; direct prospective and current students toward CIM Student Chapters.
