PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Practice safety rules.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Report to and assist immediate supervisor.
• Perform quality work as determined by project specifications.
• Be accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift.
• Work well as part of a team.

• Mobilization and Demobilization: Ability to mobilize equipment, including loading, unloading, securing, setup, and teardown.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment, vehicles, and tools are properly maintained and used correctly.
• Serve as backup to other positions as directed by management.
• Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds daily; occasionally more.
• Manipulate various hand tools daily.
• Stand for extended periods; perform twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping regularly.
• Identify colors and use manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Communicate effectively orally; listen and understand.
• Operate motorized equipment safely.
• Work in environments with drafts, noise, temperature variations, or discomforts.
• Proofread and check documents; use a keyboard for data entry.
• Comply with drug and alcohol policies.
• Pass physical examinations as required.
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, etc.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Assist with lifting items over 50 lbs as needed.
• Work extended hours on uneven surfaces.
• Wear appropriate PPE, including respirators when required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-2 years of experience in excavating near underground utilities.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Class A CDL with airbrakes and tanker endorsement preferred.
