Responsibilities:

• Report to and assist immediate supervisor.
• Perform quality work as determined by project specifications.
• Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift.
• Must work well as part of a team.
• Safety - Comply with all company safety policies and regulations.
• Mobilization and Demobilization - Ability to mobilize equipment being operated.
• Equipment Maintenance - Ensure all equipment and tools are properly maintained.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Grasp and manipulate various hand tools daily.
• Standing for more than two hours at a time, including twisting, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and stooping regularly.
• Identify/distinguish colors and use manual dexterity.
• Communicate orally and understand instructions.
• Work with motorized equipment safely.
• Work in uncomfortable environments due to drafts, noise, or temperature variation.
• Proofread and check documents for accuracy.
• Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.
• Pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary.
• Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, etc.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights.
• Recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work extended hours on uneven surfaces.
• Must be clean shaven and able to work with personal protective equipment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 1-2 years related experience excavating near underground utilities.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Class A CDL with airbrakes and tanker endorsement preferred.
