Job summary

Boston Beer Corporation's Angry Orchard Cidery in Walden, New York is hiring a full-time, temporary Cellar Person to support daily cider production. You will work across cellar, packaging, and cidery operations, assist with apple processing, equipment cleaning, inventory movement, and provide production support in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Forklift experience.
• Experience in cider production, winemaking, or brewing with interest in cider production.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including repetitive lifting.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to 11 hours per day.
• Ability to climb stairs and work at heights or on elevated platforms.
• Ability to step over, crouch under, or crawl beneath equipment and obstacles as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support apple pressing operations, including equipment setup, cleaning, and teardown.
• Operate forklifts safely to move apple bins, totes, inventory, and materials throughout the site and load or unload trucks.
• Assist with packaging operations, including kegging, canning, and bottling products.
• Maintain sanitation standards in assigned production areas in support of GMP requirements.
• Troubleshoot basic utility and process equipment issues.
• Restock materials and manage inventory movement as needed.
• Support a positive cider-making culture and collaborate with production team members.
• Learn cider-making fundamentals including apple processing, yeast management, fermentation, aging, cold processing, packaging, and utilities.
