  • Support the Group’s RC strategy by identifying emerging issues and trends, and advising Senior Management on potential impacts to the management of RC risk.
  • Ensure effective RC input into entity governance and reporting processes.
  • Support line management with “crisis” management activities (e.g., ad hoc investigations into rule breaches).
  • Provide RC input into entity compliance projects (as directed by Compliance Heads) and relevant systems developments impacting CIB/HCIB RC.
  • Provide insights and analysis on the HCIB/CIB RC risk profile through risk profile reporting, including the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) and Risk Map processes, with elements of risk stewardship oversight, working closely with Global CIB RC Product teams.
  • Drive thematic risk and control read-across across countries, regions, and global business lines.
  • Provide ongoing oversight of the Risk & Control Assessment (RCA) process to ensure consistent interpretation and application of risks and controls across CIB RC, including identification and escalation of inconsistencies.
  • Ensure in-scope teams understand the HSBC Conduct Framework and provide RC stewardship for conduct risks.
  • Support CIB cross-border tooling and RC risk stewardship for cross-border risks/licensing.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • Familiarity with HSBC’s culture, policies and procedures (preferred, not essential).
  • Strong understanding of the purpose, value and core principles of the Regulatory Compliance function.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a complex, global regulatory environment.
