Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Specialist to drive lean initiatives at our Aurora, CO facility. The role focuses on implementing efficiency projects, standard work, and a culture of continuous improvement across operations.

Ideal candidates have an engineering background and at least 3 years applying Lean/CI in manufacturing, with strong data analysis, collaboration, and communication skills to influence teams and leadership.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required or equivalent experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years of Lean and Continuous Improvement in manufacturing.
• Experience with Standardized Work, Kaizen, 5S, VSM, and related tools.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and data analysis skills.
• Ability to influence across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Work with Senior Leadership to transform the organization to a Lean Operating System across the company.
• Identify areas for continuous improvement activities across the business.
• Institutionalize Standardized Work, Problem-Solving, and Pull Systems as foundational building blocks.
• Engage workforce at all levels to gain commitment to business changes.
• Establish lean principles to meet required standards and drive sustainability.
• Coach managers, supervisors, and operators on lean manufacturing fundamentals.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to improve processes and reduce waste.
• Foster proactive problem-solving and ensure safety compliance.

Dessert Holdings is looking for a manufacturing Continuous Improvement Specialist to be based in our Aurora, CO facility.

Responsible for the development and implementation of efficiency projects, lean manufacturinginitiatives and for driving a continuous improvement culture within the organization. This positioncollaborates cross functionally to ensure all aspects of projects align with customer expectations,manufacturing requirements, business goals and company policies (including Food Safety, GMPs,Regulatory requirements, Quality Assurance, financial controls & intellectual property protection).

The typical hiring range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 annually and is based on several factors such as education, work experience, skills, certifications, location, etc. In addition to pay, Dessert Holdings offers benefits such as a choice of comprehensive medical plans, dental and vision insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and retirement contribution to all eligible employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coach and Mentor Managers, Supervisors, Leads, and Operators throughout the organization on
• Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement fundamentals
• Strategically affect positive change AND sustain it.
• Work closely with the Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to improve processes andreduce waste
• Drive a problem-solving rather than a problem-identifying approach
• Adhere to safety regulations in line with business management systems
• Expand and improve relationships across departments
• Other assignments/duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Engineering Degree. Preferably Industrial or Process
• Sound understanding of and a minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing Lean and ContinuousImprovement techniques and methodologies in the areas of Standardized Work, Kaizen, Problem Solving, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Process Flow, Heijunka, Jidoka, etc.
• Passionate and tenacious approach to yield tangible improvements
• Approachable and engaging manner with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
• Capacity to communicate at all levels of the organization levels
• Ability to effectively collect and analyze data
• Previous direct experience in a manufacturing environment
