Job summary

Dessert Holdings in Humble, TX is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to lead strategy and tool development across the site, coaching teams and driving countermeasures to completion.

You will own plant loss KPI tracking, implement standardized work and problem-solving processes, and build capability across all levels of the manufacturing plant.

This role requires 5+ years in Lean/CI with plant operations, Six Sigma belts preferred, and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Operations Management, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of Lean/CI experience in manufacturing.
• Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt preferred.
• Experience with plant operating systems and reporting.
• Ability to coach up to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Manage site productivity processes and projects to hit 5-year productivity goals.
• Institutionalize Standardized Work, Problem-Solving, and Pull Systems as core building blocks.

• Train and coach problem-solving processes/tools at all plant levels; spend substantial time on the production floor.

Continuous Improvement Manager

Dessert Holdings is looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team based in Humble, TX. The position is responsible for strategy and tool development across the site, as well as coaching and execution of countermeasures and driving action plans to completion. Developing and owning the plant loss KPI tracking and reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of problem-solving tools to drive out all losses within the plant, including Safety, Quality, Maintenance and Operations.
• Manages the site productivity process and overall identified projects to deliver productivity goals over next 5 years.
• Institutionalize Standardized Work, Problem-Solving, and Pull Systems as fundamental building blocks for the organization.
• Responsible for developing capability in others in commitment and understanding of the business change to a zero loss mindset.
• Responsible for training and coaching the problem-solving processes and tools at all levels of the plant including requirements to spend much of your daily time on the plant production floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Operations Management, Engineering or a related field such as Maintenance Management.
• Sound understanding of and a minimum of 5 years of experience utilizing Lean and Continuous Improvement techniques and plant operations experience is preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt preferred.
• Experience and training of plant operating systems at all levels within a manufacturing plant.
• Ability to build positive relationships at all levels within the organization and comfortable coaching up to senior leaders.
• Experience with implantation of standardization of plant data collection systems and reporting.
• Must have past plant level project management experience.
