Integral Federal, Inc. is seeking a CI/CD Pipeline Engineer to build and maintain DevSecOps environments and end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for VA projects.

You will automate builds, tests, deployments, and zero-downtime releases while integrating security scanning throughout the pipeline. You will capture performance metrics, support environments across VA GovCloud, and ensure compliance with enterprise security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT related field with 7–10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Automate all stages of software delivery including builds, tests, deployments, zero-downtime releases, rollbacks, and deployment validation.
• Integrate automated testing and code validation into pipelines to support TDD.
• Capture DevSecOps performance and compliance metrics from CI/CD runs.
• Maintain product environments across VA government cloud environments (Development, SQA, Pre-Production, Production).
• Incorporate automated security testing (Fortify, SonarQube) into every pipeline stage.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise security requirements and support continuous authorization.
• Produce Monitoring Plans and DS0 dashboards detailing release cadence, test coverage, failure rates, and MTTR.
• Deliver testing reports and ICDs for products.

Overview The CI/CD Pipeline Engineer builds and maintains DevSecOps (DSO) environments and CI/CD pipelines that support automated unit, functional, performance, integration, resiliency, Section 508, and security testing for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Product Delivery Services (PDS), Benefits and Memorials (BAM), Memorial and Benefit Services (MBS) deliver secure, reliable, and effective Information Technology (IT) solutions that support the Department's mission . Responsibilities

• Automate all phases of software delivery, including builds, tests, deployments, zero ‑ downtime releases, rollbacks, and deployment validation.
• Support Test ‑ Driven Development (TDD) methodologies by integrating automated testing and code validation into the pipeline.
• Capture DevSecOps performance and compliance metrics directly from CI/CD pipeline runs
• Support creation and maintenance of product environments across VA government cloud (Development, SQA, Pre ‑ Production, Production).
• Incorporate automated static and dynamic security testing (e.g., Fortify, SonarQube) into every pipeline stage.
• Ensure all software delivery processes meet enterprise security requirements and support continuous authorization.
• Produce Monitoring Plans and DSO Dashboards detailing release cadence, automated test coverage, failure rates, lead time, mean ‑ time ‑ to ‑ restore, automated rollbacks, and SLT performance
• Utilize and provide expertise in DevSecOps tooling including Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub, Nexus, Artifactory, Docker, ECR, Sonar, Maven, NPM, Terraform, CloudFormation, Elastic Stack, AppDynamics
• Deliver Automated Testing Reports and Product Interface Control Documents (ICDs). Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or IT related degree with 7-10 years' experience
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Azure DevOps, etc.) and artifact repositories (Nexus, Artifactory).
• Hands ‑ on expertise with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and managing resources in cloud environments, particularly AWS GovCloud.
• Familiarity with multiple tech stacks supported by VA (.Net Core, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, Bash, Groovy).
• Strong understanding of automated security scanning, static/dynamic testing, and Section 508 compliance.
• Public Trust Preferred:
• Experience with AWS VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC)
