Job summary

Integral Federal, Inc. is seeking a Cloud DevSecOps Architect to lead security‑driven software architectures for VA programs.

You will design scalable, reusable patterns, enforce IaC, and advance CI/CD across multiple stacks including .Net Core, Java, and Python. You will oversee cross‑functional DevSecOps and Agile teams, embed AI/ML and BI considerations into designs, and drive observability, testing, and compliance with NIST/RMF.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS or IT-related field with 7–10 years of experience.
Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps tooling.
Expertise in cloud architecture and Infrastructure as Code.
Knowledge of NIST/RMF, ATO processes, zero trust, and vulnerability remediation.
Familiarity with .Net Core, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, Bash.
Experience leading cross-functional DevSecOps and Agile teams.

Responsibilities

Recommend architectural changes to enhance security, performance, resiliency, and efficiency.
Integrate data analytics, AI/ML, and BI requirements into architecture and solution designs.
Produce Solution Architecture Packages enabling government decision‑making for future target architectures
Design and govern CI/CD architecture including automated builds, testing, deployments, and rollback strategies.
Ensure IaC alignment with VA cloud compliance standards.
Implement observability across infrastructure, OS, application, and integrations.
Build and maintain DevSecOps pipelines supporting multiple technology stacks (.Net Core, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, etc.).
Define and deliver monitoring plans, dashboards, DevSecOps maturity metrics, and automated testing reports.
Ensure automated security testing, static/dynamic scanning, and compliance checks are integrated into CI/CD.

Job description

The Cloud DevSecOps Architect provides architecture strategies supporting resiliency, scalability, modular design patterns, and capability re-use for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Product Delivery Services (PDS), Benefits and Memorials (BAM), Memorial and Benefit Services (MBS) deliver secure, reliable, and effective Information Technology (IT) solutions that support the Department’s mission.

Responsibilities

Recommend architectural changes and technology improvements to enhance security (zero trust), performance, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
Integrate data analytics, AI/ML, and BI requirements into architecture and solution designs.
Produce Solution Architecture Packages enabling government decision‑making for future target architectures
Design and govern CI/CD architecture including automated builds, testing (functional, performance, security), deployments, and rollback strategies.
Ensure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) alignment with VA cloud compliance standards.
Implement observability (“Monitoring as Code”) across infrastructure, OS, application, and integrations.
Build and maintain DevSecOps pipelines supporting multiple technology stacks (.Net Core, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, etc.).

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or an IT-related degree with 7-10 years' experience
Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevSecOps tooling (Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, Sonar, Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure DevOps).
Expertise in cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code, and VA Enterprise Cloud operational requirements.
Strong knowledge of security standards (NIST, RMF), ATO processes, zero trust, and vulnerability remediation
Familiarity with multiple development stacks .Net Core, Java, JavaScript frameworks, SQL, Python, Bash, Groovy.
Experience leading cross-functional DevSecOps, Agile, and System Teams.

Salary Range $175,000-$200,000

This role is in the proposal stage. The above salary range represents a general guideline. Integral Federal considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and/or discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
