Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison seeks an Outreach Specialist to provide CHW subject matter expertise and leadership across Envision's programmatic development, including webinars and learning opportunities. The role collaborates with the Envision Team, CHW Council, and national partners to guide workforce development while grounding activities in CHW values and lived experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as a CHW or CHW-equivalent role.
• Understanding of CHW values, trust-based relationships, and community-centered approaches.
• Experience designing or supporting training, TA, learning collaboratives, coaching, or workforce development.
• Knowledge of CHW sustainability strategies and workforce integration within health systems.
• Experience collaborating with CHWs, CHW-led orgs, public health agencies, or community-based orgs.
• Multilingual skills, especially Spanish or other CHW languages.

Responsibilities

• Delivers outreach program content and materials to community members.
• Leads program implementation and day-to-day oversight of staff and volunteers.
• Schedules and secures resources; communicates logistics for outreach activities.
• Monitors outreach program budget spending where applicable.
• Develops and evaluates curricula, programs, and resources.
• Identifies and maintains external partnerships to support outreach.
