Job summary

Fogo de Chão in Huntington Station, NY is hiring a Gaucho Chef. You will prepare and grill premium meats using traditional churrasco techniques, seasoning per guest requests, and presenting dishes in the gaucho style.

You’ll answer guests’ questions about churrasco and Brazilian culture while maintaining a clean grill area. The role requires stamina, ability to work fast-paced shifts, and weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Must be able to transport objects up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Experience with traditional Brazilian churrasco methods is a plus.

• Prepare and cook beef and other meats according to churrasco recipes.

Now Hiring / Immediately Hiring: Gaucho Chef

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepare and cook special cuts of beef and other meats according to traditional Brazilian “churrasco” recipes.
• Season and grill food according to prescribed traditional method and to guests’ specific requests.
• Portion, garnish and present to patron in style of Brazilian “gaucho.”
• Answer guests’ questions concerning “churrasco”-style food and represent and convey Brazilian “gaucho” culture and demeanor.
• Maintain cleanliness of the grill area.
• Complete any beginning or closing shift duties.

Requirements

• Must be able to transport objects up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and work at a quick pace.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
