Job summary

Fogo de Chão is currently hiring Gaucho Chef to craft authentic churrasco, carve and present meats table-side, and share Brazilian gaucho culture with guests. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in churrasco grilling and carving preferred.
• Ability to prepare and present high-quality meats to guests.
• Strong knowledge of cuts and cooking times for Brazilian-style churrasco.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook special cuts of beef and other meats according to traditional Brazilian churrasco recipes.
• Season and grill food according to prescribed traditional method and guests' requests.
• Portion, garnish and present to patrons in gaucho style.
• Answer guests' questions and convey Brazilian gaucho culture and demeanor.
• Maintain cleanliness of the grill area and surrounding station.
• Complete any beginning or closing shift duties.

Now Hiring / Immediately Hiring: Gaucho Chef

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Other duties may be assigned.
• Prepare and cook special cuts of beef and other meats according to traditional Brazilian “churrasco” recipes.
• Season and grill food according to prescribed traditional method and to guests’ specific requests.
• Portion, garnish and present to patron in style of Brazilian “gaucho.”
• Answer guests’ questions concerning “churrasco”-style food and represent and convey Brazilian “gaucho” culture and demeanor.
• Maintain cleanliness of the grill area.
• Complete any beginning or closing shift duties.

Requirements

• Must be able to transport objects up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and work at a quick pace.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance are available for full-time, hourly Team Members on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.

Additionally, company-paid Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability are provided where allowed.
