Job summary

Fogo de Chão is hiring a Gaucho Chef in Massachusetts. You will cook traditional churrasco-style meats, season and grill to guest requests, and present dishes in a gaucho style. Maintain grill area cleanliness and assist with opening/closing duties.

This role requires weekend and holiday availability and a capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. We offer medical and other benefits for full-time team members, with opportunities for growth within the team.

• Prepare and cook beef and other meats according to traditional churrasco methods.
• Season and grill foods per guest requests and traditional method.
• Portion, garnish and present dishes in gaucho style.
• Answer guests' questions about churrasco and culture.
• Maintain cleanliness of grill area and equipment.
• Complete opening or closing shift duties.

Now Hiring / Immediately Hiring: Gaucho Chef

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepare and cook special cuts of beef and other meats according to traditional Brazilian “churrasco” recipes.
• Season and grill food according to prescribed traditional method and to guests’ specific requests.
• Portion, garnish and present to patron in style of Brazilian “gaucho.”
• Answer guests’ questions concerning “churrasco”-style food and represent and convey Brazilian “gaucho” culture and demeanor.
• Maintain cleanliness of the grill area.
• Complete any beginning or closing shift duties.

Requirements

• Must be able to transport objects up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and work at a quick pace.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
