Job summary

Newberg Friends Church in Newberg, Oregon seeks a Building Maintenance Assistant Part-Time to support the Building Manager with care, maintenance, and security of church facilities and grounds.

You will assist with ongoing and preventative maintenance, event setup, grounds upkeep, on‑call service, and coordination with custodial and security staff; 15 hours weekly, background check, and spiritual agreement required.

Qualifications

• Position requires indoor/outdoor work in church facilities.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Background check and spiritual agreement required.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance of church facilities.
• Assist with ongoing and preventative maintenance on building systems.
• Assist with contracted plant maintenance and grounds upkeep.
• Assist with ongoing contract commitments.
• Help with event set-up and tear-down.
• Assist with vehicle operations and upkeep.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining parking lots.
• Provide emergency on-call services when requested.
• Perform other requests as needed through the Building Manager.
• Work with custodial and security staff as needed.
