Job summary

HOPE Church is seeking a Facilities Associate in Grand Forks, ND to maintain building and grounds, recruit and work with volunteers, and support event readiness. The role supports ministry by ensuring a clean, functional facility and smooth operations with the Facilities Team.

The position requires strong interpersonal skills, a calm approach to crises, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with staff and volunteers. On-site Fridays and Saturdays are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work collaboratively, receive direction, and adapt in a dynamic ministry environment.
• Familiarity, training, experience, skills useful for a facilities position.
• Respond to crisis situations in a calm, gracious, and confident manner.
• Experience in recruiting and training volunteers.
• Relate to people in various settings with excellent interpersonal skills (groups, individuals, all ages).
• Communicate effectively with staff, church members, and community members.

Responsibilities

• Clean/maintain all areas inside and outside HOPE Church property.
• During winter months – keep doors free from snow and ice; summer weeds patrol.
• Assist in preparing HOPE Church spaces for events.
• Organize custodial storage closets and other storage areas.
• Do minor repair and maintenance projects (small repairs, paint touch ups, light bulb/ballast replacement).
• Work alongside volunteers in facilities.
• Communicate weekly with the Facilities Team on repairs and facility needs.
• Prioritize time to address all tasks.
• Communicate custodial needs with HOPE staff.

Education
