Deseret Book in American Fork, UT is seeking a part-time store associate to help customers in a welcoming retail environment. This role focuses on selling LDS curriculum and clothing products, providing friendly, knowledgeable service, and ensuring a clean, well-organized store floor.

You will assist customers with proper fit, operate cash registers, stock shelves, and participate in merchandise presentation. The schedule includes days, evenings, and Saturdays, with immediate start.

Qualifications

• Must be a female who has received her own personal endowments and possesses a current temple recommend
• Ability to interact with customers in-person and over the phone on a day-to-day basis is an essential function of this position
• Excellent customer service and sales skills
• Knowledge of LDS Church curriculum and clothing products preferred
• Computer and cashiering skills preferred
• Ability to resolve routine customer problems and negotiate effective solutions
• Applicants must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays (except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day)
• Ability to hear, understand, and respond to customers and associates
• Ability to locate and identify product for customers
• Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift 20 lbs
• Excellent team skills
