Job summary

Deseret Book Company in Logan, UT is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to assist customers, help with fitting clothing, and process sales at the register. You’ll contribute to a welcoming store environment and ensure excellent service.

You will maintain store appearance, stock shelves, and help with gift-wrapping and merchandise presentation. Shifts include days, evenings, and Saturdays to cover customer demand.

Qualifications

• BFOQ: Must be a female who has received her own personal endowments and possesses a current temple recommend.
• Excellent customer service and sales skills.
• Knowledge of LDS Church curriculum and clothing products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell LDS Church curriculum and clothing products in a retail store environment.
• Assist customers with proper fit and usage of clothing items and other related products.
• Exhibit world-class sales and customer service skills.
• Assist customers by operating cash registers, locating products, taking orders, gift-wrapping, etc.
• Maintain store appearance and organization by stocking shelves, unpacking merchandise shipments, and assisting with merchandise presentation.
• Schedule may include a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and Saturdays.

• Applicants must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays (except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day)

• Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift 20 lbs
