Qualifications

• Must possess current RN licensure in the state of employment or in a nursing compact state.
• Three years of experience in chronic disease management or correctional health nursing is required.
• Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage detainee scheduling efficiently and timely.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive nursing care to detainees with chronic health conditions.
• Manages long‑term health issues and coordinates care plans within a secure environment.
• Collaborates with healthcare teams, correctional staff, and external providers to deliver patient‑centered care.
• Conducts health assessments for detainees with chronic conditions and updates individualized care plans.
• Monitors health status and progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Administers prescribed medications accurately and safely and educates detainees on their use.
