Job summary

Andritz Inc. in Indiana is seeking a Plater Operator under the direction of the Plating Supervisor to plate rolls and assist in training new Plating Helpers per work instructions, while properly containing all hazardous waste.

The role requires following specific work instructions, setting plating controls, monitoring tank temperature and solution levels, and inspecting rolls for defects before and after plating. Emphasis on safety and quality, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Crane Safety, Hazardous Communication, and ISO Quality System training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rolls for chrome plating.
• Set plating controls and monitor tank temperature and solution levels.
• Inspect rolls for defects before and after plating.
• Perform testing for surface texture and chrome thickness.
• Complete paperwork completely.
• Perform crane inspection.
• Maintain housekeeping of area.
• Able to work overtime when required.
