Job summary

• Comfortable reading open score choral literature.
• Must be able to accompany vocal groups during rehearsals and performances.
• Able to play, read and learn new music fluently.
• Must be able to travel to performances out of the building.

• Job may include travel to performances out of the building.
• Assist with Choral Library maintenance.
• Assist in helping to maintain a positive school climate.
• Must be able to communicate and relate to students in a friendly manner.
• Work with administration, classroom teachers and other building personnel.
• Must be organized.
• Must become familiar with building emergency and security procedures.
• Job will require flexible work hours beyond the regular school day (after school, evenings, weekends).
• Advance notice will be given for these dates. A full schedule of events will be provided.
• Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.
• Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.
• Must be willing to support and implement Davenport's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics.
